A position held traditionally by the Vice President, the welfare officer’s specific role in the union is to promote and ensure your welfare – be it accommodation, health or financial. There are structures in place within the Union to help alleviate any problems that you may encounter throughout the year.

He liaises very closely with the rest of the college support staff including the nurse, counsellor and chaplain so he is aware of the structures in place within DkIT and has personal links with the parties involved.

If you have any problem or query throughout the year don’t hesitate to approach the welfare officer and they will do their best to either help you or direct you to the appropriate staff member within the student support team.
